A Song for Your Journal/Discussion Today

We saw Lyle Lovett in concert with K.D. Lang a while back. Among a few other songs, K.D. sang the beautiful Cohen song she does so passionately. Lyle sang another of my favorites, the one about the pony.
I thought it could start a creative writing prompt, so here goes. Choose one or do them all:
